Our tendency to not be fully present in life has vast implications. Being unmindful means wasting our lifetime, missing important information and communicating more superficially with others. More importantly, it makes us unhappier than we realise and more vulnerable to stress and poor mental health.
Studies show that we now know the power of improved emotional resilience and wellbeing in one person is significant – the effect flows right through to their homes, partners, children, friends, colleagues, workplaces, and communities.
By focusing on ‘what is’ rather than be distracted by ‘what isn’t’- mindfulness can make us much calmer, happier and healthier beings. Whilst mindfulness in children helps them to learn to embrace challenges, persevere & grow from their mistakes.
And this is where “Wellbing & Me” can help. With our tools, strategies and products – we can provide many different options to create calm and wellbeing as well as building emotional resilience and mindfulness for Mothers and Daughters of all ages.
Wellbeing & Me came into fruition as I saw a need for mums like myself who may have lost all their self-confidence after coming out of a toxic relationship, having limited support around them and wondering how in the hell I was supposed to deal with all this frustration & stress that this new sole-parenting thing gave me. At the time there were limited (and affordable) options for stress management and emotional resilience courses or tools that would help to unwind, find that inner calm and be a happier, healthier person – and a much calmer parent. So I searched and searched and luckily found a great mentor that has helped me gain my life back. The tools and strategies shared in this website are the same ones that I have used to gain clarity and calm. I’m still a work-in-progress but I know that with time and my tools and the extra knowledge I have gained, I can confidently be a better person and a better parent to my wonderful daughter as she deserves the best version of me – which in turn, I can then help her to become the best version of herself.
